A year ago, these two swiped right—and the rest is history. Their first date was at a pizza place in Mount Pleasant just before a hurricane, with Jeff driving to Jess’ side of town. The food may not have been memorable, but the company certainly was—and when they hugged goodbye in the rain, it somehow felt perfect.

Fast forward one year, and history repeated itself: Jeff proposed on a mountaintop in Lansing, NC…with a sprinkling of rain. In just 12 months, they’ve packed in a lot of life together.

They’ve commuted all over town to see each other, survived Charleston’s first winter storm in a decade, enjoyed long walks with their pups, Cash and Jack, and even started making peanut butter together. They treasure simple joys like quiet nights on the couch with Häagen-Dazs after Jeff cooks the perfect steak. Along the way, they’ve met each other’s families, supported each other’s passions—Jess’s photography adventures and Jeff's motorcycle project—and truly become a team. After years of traveling with the military, Jeff is thrilled to finally put down roots and build a life with Jess in Charleston, SC.

With God at the center of it all, they’ve focused on relationships at their church, attending services on Sundays and participating in various ministries. They can’t wait to celebrate their wedding with all of their favorite people and kick off this next chapter together!
